Vernardo Stroud
Vernardo Stroud is an African American actor and producer. Born in 1989 north of Munich, Germany to American parents, he is the youngest out of four children. As a child he moved around a lot due to his father being in the United States Military. He spent most of his adolescence years in Harlem, New York where he developed a love for the arts.
At the beginning of middle school, he would experiment with different forms of art until his music teacher, Thaddeus Expose, introduced him to the trumpet. He would practice day and night perfecting his ability to play, working on scales, pitches and researching other trumpet players. Throughout middle school he would perform and win school awards for playing. After graduating middle school, he auditioned for multiple art schools in the New York area including Laguardia High School of Music & Art & Performing Arts. Unfortunately, none of the schools would accept him.
In 2010, he will have his acting debut as "Player on bus" in the release of Bokutachi no pureibôru (2010) directed by Junichi Mimura. At the time, he had no idea that acting would be so monumental in his life as he was enrolled in a Penn State affiliated college for Architecture. He took the summer off from school to work on different shorts, films, modeling gigs and plays; one of the most memorial projects he was able to work on that year was Step Up 3D (2010) directed by Jon M. Chu. His theatre debut was on the stage of Al Martin' Broadway Comedy Club. This is where he performed as the African prince Mandingo Jr. in the stage play The Gloria Glitter Show directed and written by the talented Beverly Bonner.
Developing his acting on the stage and feeding off the positive reaction of the live audience, he felt confident to move to Los Angeles, CA after graduating from college. Over the years, Vernardo would be casted in numerous projects including Special Agent Kids (2013), Backfire (2015), Almighty Zeus (2022), OnlyFans 2 (2023),and The Wedding Hustler (2023).
